Who We Are
After graduating from high school in New York, Educo’s Jeff Dvorak began a semester long post-graduate course with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), which ultimately lead him to head west and complete an undergraduate degree at the University of Montana.
Upon graduation, Jeff began his education career working with at-risk youth—first in a therapeutic wilderness program in Idaho, then creating and directing a service-learning program in Costa Rica for a therapeutic boarding school based in Western Massachusetts.
After completing a Masters of Education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Jeff worked as public school English teacher and administrator, while simultaneously enrolling in a Doctoral program in Special Education Leadership. Subsequent positions included a post as Assistant Principal in London, England at a school for boys with emotional and learning difficulties and 6-12th grade college counselor for the San Francisco Public School District.
Currently based out of Brooklyn, NY, Jeff continues to work for The University of California, Berkeley as a freshman application reader, a position that has afforded him insight not only into what great universities look for, but more importantly what separates one great student from thousands of other high-performing applicants.
